Saints Row The Third Looking Awesome
THQ and Volition have been teasing us with Saints Row 3 for months now, and have finally officially revealed the sequel to 2008’s raucous sandbox adventure. Saints Row: The Third is confirmed for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year… with a new balls-out focus on action over pointless grinding.
Saints Row: The Third (the artist formerly known as Saints Row 3) will be launching this holiday season for all platforms. It will retain its predecessors’ signature emphasis on fun over realism, but unlike most sandbox games, there’s no grinding and grubbing around doing pointless errands at the beginning of the game. You’ll start at the top- and there’s nowhere to go but up.
Saints Row: The Third puts you on top of the world, right at the beginning of the game, with all the perks that go along with being the head of an elite criminal organization.
There’s no delivering pizza, no shuttling family members about in a long series of taxi missions. Instead, you take all the power of the Third Street Saints and you take the world by storm. – THQ’s Danny Bilson
After a shadowy group known as The Syndicate move into the area, the Third Street Saints have no option but to go to war. Hopefully this will provide the perfect platform for more hilarious, rampant sandbox shenanigans. More as it comes in.
